Work permit application rejected due to security reasons in Ras Al Khaimah

Hi everyone, I am currently facing a logic error with my move to the UAE and need some debugging advice. I recently accepted a job offer as a Junior Developer with a company based in Ras Al Khaimah. I am an Indian national (from Mumbai), and I have never traveled to the UAE before, so my history is clean.

My employer applied for the work permit, but yesterday they informed me it was rejected. The reason given was simply “security reasons.” I am confused because I have no criminal record or previous bans.

Pushing to prod seems stuck. Is this a permanent rejection, or can the company appeal this? Could it be a glitch with my name or demographics? Any optimized advice on how to handle this logic check would be appreciated.

Realizing this is likely not about any actual wrongdoings on your part, it is important to understand the landscape here.

I was informed of a similar outcome regarding my own application last year, despite my background being in theoretical physics with no political involvement.
