I recently received my passport back with my Japan visa, but I noticed that my Date of Birth (DOB) on the visa stamp is incorrect. The day and month are swapped compared to my actual passport details. I am worried this will cause issues at immigration upon arrival. Has anyone else dealt with a clerical error like this on their Japan visa? I am particularly interested in:
- Did you have to go back to the VFS center or the Embassy directly?
- How long did the correction process take, and was there a fee involved?
- Has anyone ever risked traveling with a minor typo like this and what happened?
Would love to hear real experiences before I decide whether to head back to the consulate.
