Is it really that hard to get a Japan visa appointment slot in Singapore right now?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to book a Japan visa appointment here in Singapore, but the website always shows no available slots. I’ve been checking multiple times a day for the past two weeks, at different times, and still nothing! Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m planning a trip in November, and I’m getting a bit worried about the delay.

Is there a specific time when new slots are released, or any tips on securing an appointment? Also, should I consider applying through an agency instead? Would love to hear about your experiences!

I had the same problem last month! What worked for me was checking the website at midnight Singapore time. Apparently, that’s when they release new slots. Good luck!

Oh dear, I’m planning this for the family too. I’ll keep an eye out and share if I have any new information too. Maybe calling the embassy is worth a try? In case they have a different advice.

Yeah, the Japan visa appointments have been super competitive lately. Besides midnight, try early morning like 6-7 am too. Agencies might help, but they charge a premium, so weigh your options. Make sure all your documents are ready to go once you get a slot to avoid any delays!

You’re not alone. This is very common in Singapore right now; Japan visa slots are limited and get booked almost immediately when released, so the system often shows nothing, and since there’s no fixed release time, your best bet is to keep checking at random times (especially early morning) and refresh frequently because cancellations do appear, while using an agency can help with monitoring but doesn’t guarantee faster access since they don’t have special slots either.
