Greetings to all. I am currently lost in the verses of bureaucracy and seeking guidance. I am a university student and have been invited to a scholarly meeting in Berlin next month. It is a three-day unpaid engagement, purely for academic dialogue and network building.
My dilemma is deep: do I mark ‘Business’ on the Videx form because it is technically a meeting, or ‘Tourism’ because I am a student earning nothing and paying for my own travel? I fear a rejection would stain my record like ink on parchment. Has anyone deciphered the soul of these regulations?
